The two will have individual solo sets and will join one another for a duo set that quite possibly may cause your head to explode. So maybe bring a towel. Doors open at 8:30, show starts at 9:00, admission is $7.
Dex Romweber – Chapel Hill, NC
Dex Romweber is nothing less than an icon of the American music underground. In Dex, you have someone who burrows into the guts of American roots music with a uniquely alchemical mania; he’s a man clearly bored with, or oblivious to, genre constraints. With a mix of originals and obscure nuggets from rock and roll’s dusky back closets, Dex Romweber romps through the sweaty cinder block studios of Memphis of the 50’s, channels street corners on the wrong side of town with existential blues and instrumentals that’d find a home in a Tarantino spy flick.
George Terry (of The Zealots) – Asheville, NC
Best known for his work as the frontman of the indie Americana act, The Zealots, Terry produces timeless twangy powerpop anthems.
